Geraume Zeit später sahen ihn einige Minister mit Überraschung, wie er mit diesen Feinden aß und trank, scherzte und lachte.
Sie stellten ihn zur Rede: „Du wolltest deine Feinde doch vernichten.! Wie kannst du jetzt mit ihnen essen und trinken und dich unterhalten?“
Darauf sagte der Herrscher: „Nun, ich habe genau das getan. Ich habe keine Feinde mehr. Jetzt sind es Freunde.“
